About the SAE Student Chapter
At MLRIT, the SAE International Student Chapter provides a dynamic platform for aspiring engineers to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical, real-world engineering challenges in the mobility sector.
Designing, building, and testing vehicles and components, from concept to completion.
Mastering software tools, manufacturing processes, and advanced engineering principles.
Encouraging creative solutions to complex challenges in vehicle dynamics, propulsion, and systems integration.

Baja SAE Vehicle Design & Fabrication
Focus: Off-Road Vehicle Engineering
Status: Ongoing
Students design, build, and test a single-seat, all-terrain recreational vehicle intended for rugged off-road use. This involves chassis design, suspension tuning, powertrain integration, and rigorous testing for national competitions.
Electric Vehicle (EV) Powertrain Development
Focus: Sustainable Mobility Solutions
Status: Ongoing
Researching and developing efficient electric powertrains and battery management systems for future mobility applications. This project aims to contribute to the growing EV industry and participate in relevant competitions.
Aerodynamics & Lightweight Structures Project
Focus:Aerospace and High-Performance Automotive
Status: Ongoing
Exploring advanced aerodynamic principles and lightweight material composites for optimizing vehicle performance and fuel efficiency, applicable to both automotive and aerospace designs.
Automotive Diagnostics & ECU Tuning Workshop
Focus: Practical Industry Skills
Status: Ongoing
Conducting practical workshops on modern automotive diagnostic tools, engine control unit (ECU) tuning, and sensor integration, providing students with valuable troubleshooting and performance enhancement skills.
